Membership in ZBT is a life-long commitment. We can all hopefully think back to the first alumnus we met in ZBT. That interaction may have occurred at an alumni event, at a national leadership program, or perhaps at an airport while wearing letters. The bond of brotherhood is a special feeling and one that is unique to membership in a fraternity or sorority. Many alumni choose to continue this bond of brotherhood by giving back to the organization to donate their time and talent. ZBT has dozens of different ways to make an impact on the thousands of men who join us in saying “it’s great to be a ZBT.”
Here are some of the ways that alumni can get involved:

Committee appointments
Each year ZBT appoints both undergraduates and alumni to more than a dozen working committees. Click here to download a copy of the most recent volunteer involvement form to learn more about what each committee does. Please complete the form to be considered for ongoing appointments throughout the academic year.
Chapter advisory roles
Successful chapters have advisors who mentor and guide them throughout the academic year. ZBT is fortunate to have more than 150 alumni who currently serve in a chapter or assistant chapter advisor role. Advisors work with chapters in areas pertaining to overall leadership, recruitment, programming, financial management, housing, and much more. ZBT has a volunteers committee who is responsible for identifying and appointing new chapter advisors. If you are interested in serving as a positive role model to outstanding young men in our Fraternity please let us know.
Visit our Chapter Advisors Manual to learn more about the common roles and responsibilities of a chapter advisor.
Leadership program faculty
Each year hundreds of ZBT men participate in a variety of leadership and educational programming sponsored by the Fraternity. While we often times bring in nationally known speakers, they can never replace the knowledge gained from one brother to another. ZBT is constantly looking for alumni who have a passion for mentoring, facilitation, and instruction to assist us in the delivery of our leadership and educational programs. The only prior experience necessary is a passion for ZBT---we will train you on the rest! If you are interested in getting involved as a leadership and educational facilitator please contact Laurence A. Bolotin, Executive Director, at lbolotin@zbtnational.org.
Supreme Council
ZBT has a board of directors, known as the Supreme Council, that govern the direction of the Fraternity. The Supreme Council is made up of 21 voting and non-voting members who serve in the best interest of ZBT. Experience ranges from recent graduates to decades of ZBT membership. Responsibilities of councilors include attendance at three meetings per year, serving as a chairman of a national committee, in addition to other duties requested by the International President. Of the 21 members of the Council, five of them are voting undergraduate members. For more information on how to get involved with the Supreme Council, please contact Phil M. Waxberg, international president, at pwaxberg@aol.com.
