Attendence
Chapters and colonies must send at least four (4) delegates unless traveling more than 350 miles, in which case only two (2) are required.
Chapters or colonies interested in sending more than four (4) delegates will be assessed a $100 per additional delegate fee to cover expenses.
About the conclaves
The regional conclaves are held each year from January to March in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Gulf, Midwest, and West regions of the country.
The regional conclaves focus on training chapter leaders and addressing issues that arise in chapters.
The brothers attending network with brothers from all over their region and not only make contacts but learn from each other as well.
The National staff and a team of faculty consisting of alumni and outside experts facilitate the conclaves and help build the knowledge base of those attending of what it takes to run a fraternity, how to work through and address problems, and how to lead others, among other topics.
Chapters choose which conclave they would like to attend (usually based on transportation cost). Each chapter and colony is required to send at least 4 delegates to a conclave. Those individuals attending should be the president, and recruitment chairmen along with any other chapter leaders or future chapter leaders.
Chapters and colonies must stay at least one night at the designated hotel. Exemptions are made if; chapters are located within 25 miles of the conclave facility and can reasonably commute or chapters must travel over 350 miles to attend conclave (these chapters may send 2 delegates).
Past attendees of the regional Conclaves have said:
“I now have a support system in my region of chapters we can reach out to when we have problems.”
“I learned that becoming a powerhouse takes everyone working together and I learned how to help make that happen.”
“I learned how to handle different situations and how to help brothers communicate and come together.”
